Chamber Music
Sunday, September 07, 2025
4:00 pm - 5:00 pm

UNC faculty members Nicholas DiEugenio and Mimi Solomon bring their acclaimed Gut Instinct Chamber Music Project to Duke. This innovative series reimagines "Historically Informed Performance" by making it accessible, relatable, and relevant to today's audiences.

Gut Instinct highlights extraordinary historical instruments-many of which are rarely heard in public performance-and shines a spotlight on remarkable music by female composers that has too often been overlooked.

This concert features a rare and beautifully preserved 1809 Clementi fortepiano from the Duke Musical Instrument Collection, offering a unique listening experience that bridges past and present.

This performance features an outstanding ensemble of musicians: Nicholas DiEugenio on violin, Jessica Troy on viola, James Wilson on cello, and Mimi Solomon at the fortepiano.
