BioE Seminar Series: How to Make and Use Google Maps of Human Tissues, Cell by Cell
How to Make and Use Google Maps of Human Tissues, Cell by Cell
Advancements in single-cell multiplexed imaging coupled with sophisticated computational algorithms have greatly enhanced our understanding of complex organization and interactions within tissue microenvironments. In this seminar, I will present the approaches we have developed to profile human tissues with spatial-omics techniques and connect them across scales from molecular to multicell modules. I will also share about our bioinformatic, machine learning, and modeling approaches to make sense of these large ~TB single-cell datasets. Beyond understanding tissue function and dysfunction, I will highlight how we are using this to control responses in disease.
