2026 Duke Reproductive Justice Conference
The Duke Women's Center is hosting our annual Reproductive Justice Conference as part of our Women's History Month programming on Wednesday March 4, 2026 in Duke University's Penn Pavilion building. We use SisterSong's definition of reproductive justice, described as "the human right to maintain personal bodily autonomy, have children, not have children, and parent the children we have in safe and sustainable communities."
The 2026 conference theme, Boundaries, Bodies, and Bliss: Pleasure and Reproductive Justice Advocacy, seeks to interrogate the intersections of sex, sexual pleasure, and reproductive justice advocacy. Panel topics will include "Sex and Pleasure in the Media," "Sex Work and Women's Sexual Capital," and more. Stay tuned for the full speaker and panelists lineup!
New for this year, we are introducing RJC Week 2026! This is a full week of reproductive justice related events, starting with a Women's History Month Kickoff and RJ Resource Fair on Monday 3/2, a lunch workshop on how to have HARD conversations on Tues. 3/3, a self-pleasure guided reflection and activity on Thurs. 3/5, and a RJ zine-making kickback with the CSGD on Fri. 3/6. Full event lineup and information available on DukeGroups at https://bit.ly/joinDUWC.
