The Journey of Land Relationship Workshop Series

Forming a land-based relationship with place is an ongoing process, whether you live and garden on your own land, in an apartment or another setting. Together with Martin Jahn, horticulturist in the Culberson Asiatic Arboretum at Duke Gardens, you'll explore what it means to arrive in an ecosystem, become a part of it and take responsibility for your shared future.
This workshop will look at your expectations for progress after several years of working with a piece of land. Through a variety of methods and activities, consider how you will measure success, adjust your expectations and adapt to challenges. Look for separate sessions in this series on Saturday, September 28, and Saturday, November 16.
Fee: $22 per person; 20% discount for Duke Gardens members with discount code. Parking fees apply.
Scholarships available by request; email GardensEducation@duke.edu.
Location: Location details will be shared in program reminder.
Accessibility: This will be a small group program that takes place partially seated indoors and partially outdoors traveling on a combination of paved and unpaved paths with some uneven surfaces and moderate inclines.
