Family Garden Walk - Doris Duke Center Gardens

(Note: this 4/8 walk has been canceled due to expected inclement weather). Join us for a family walk through the Doris Duke Center Gardens to explore aspects of a spring woodland garden as you make your way to the Charlotte Brody Discovery Garden. Learn about sustainable design for garden spaces, spend some time in the self-discovery story circle, and enjoy watering some of the seasonal edible plants growing in this garden. Participants will meet at the Doris Duke Center.

Exploring Duke Gardens can be fun for the whole family during our monthly garden walks. Each month a naturalist will guide you through a different area of Duke Gardens with activities that engage family members of every age. These programs will involve traveling on unpaved and, at-times, uneven surfaces for close to an hour; not all surfaces are ideal for strollers. Service animals are welcome but please leave family pets at home. Program will not occur during inclement weather. Capacity is limited to 10 families of 4 individuals; families with more than 4 individuals should register as 2 or more groups.
