Innovative Careers for PhDs: Careers Beyond Academia

The career landscape for PhDs has changed dramatically-the majority of PhD holders now pursue non-academic careers. What are these careers, and how do you position yourself to be competitive for one? On October 25th, 1-4pm in Kirby Reading Room (Fuqua School of Business), join us to explore careers in startups, private industry, and beyond. The session will include a keynote by Amit Bagga-Comcast SVP of Entertainment and AI Technology-and breakout sessions with alumni and other PhD-qualified professionals who have been successful in innovative careers.

This free event is hosted by Duke Innovation & Entrepreneurship, The Graduate School, the Office of Postdoctoral Services, the Duke Career Center, and the Duke Office of Biomedical Graduate Education. All Duke PhD students and postdoctoral researchers are invited to attend; registration is required.
