Duke University Inaugural Light Painting Photography Workshop

Wilkinson Building, Auditorium located on Level 0

Ready to learn how to paint with light? Have you ever left your camera's shutter open at night to create images of light trails made by cars' headlights? Did you know you can create next-level light effects and also engineer your own light sources and use them in long-exposure photographs? You can even use your research images to light paint. Parents can have kids play with light toys and photograph them in long exposure. Come learn from expert light painters (sneak peek of light painters) on different techniques and light materials, in this free light painting workshop hosted by the Fitzpatrick Institute for Photonics, Art@DukeEngineering, and the Duke Optical Student Chapter. Special thanks to our sponsors Light Painting Brushes and The Hyperspace Lighting Company. Open to the general public. No experience is necessary.
Registration is required. https://duke.qualtrics.com/jfe/form/SV_b1mbnIh3V2k35yK

**Please note that this workshop will contain flashing lights that might not be appropriate for highly sensitive individuals.
