Point of Reckoning: A Conversation with Ted Segal

Sponsor(s): New Student Programs
In Point of Reckoning, Duke alum Ted Segal explores the contested fight for racial justice at Duke, from desegregation in 1963 to the Allen Building takeover in 1969 and beyond. Focusing on some of the most turbulent moments in Duke's confrontation with its racial history, Point of Reckoning explores how Duke's Black students forced the university to move beyond its Jim Crow past.
All students are encouraged to attend on Tuesday, November 15 at 5 pm in the Nelson Music Room on East Campus for an engaging conversation with Ted Segal. Students will engage in lessons from Duke's racial history and how it can illuminate and inform its search for racial equity and justice today.
