The Effective External Subaward Management Workshop is an intermediate-level session designed to focus on the management of external subawards. We will discuss relevant topics and present strategies for managing each phase of the subaward lifecycle, including initiation, modification and closeout. This course will include institutional guidance and best practices related to: 1) establishing & modifying a subaward. 2) managing subaward budget, plan and projections utilizing the subaward G/L structure. 3) rebudgeting from an existing WBSE in a project to a new subaward. 4) Duke roles & responsibilities. 5) utilizing SAP tools and Duke@Work reports to efficiently manage subawards. Attendees should ensure they have an understanding of SAP and Duke@Work functionality prior to attending this course. Specifically, we will be using the SAP transaction ZFR1E on multiple occasions. Familiarity with executing and interpreting this report will be extremely helpful.
