Make a Rustic Garden Trough

Garden trough planters bring a charming, rustic quality to your garden and are very durable. Join curator Jason Holmes and other Duke Gardens staff members to learn how to make these troughs using the simple materials of concrete, perlite and peat moss. These are also known as hypertufa containers, and once you know the technique you can build troughs of any size or shape! The workshop will be on site. Containers will need to dry overnight before you take them home. Return to decorate and pick up your container on Friday, July 21, between 8 a.m. and noon.
