BERD Seminar: Introduction to Interrupted Time Series
In this seminar, we will present a broad overview of and tutorial for conducting an interrupted time series (ITS) analysis: a powerful, quasi-experimental method that can be used to assess the efficacy of interventions in settings where randomization may not be plausible. We will cover topics on power, model specification, interpretation of results, common methodological issues, and strengths and limitations. Finally, we will describe two examples from our own work to illustrate the flexibility and broad applicability of this method to clinical research.
