Design Basics: Effective Use of White in the Garden

The color white brings sparkle to a garden and simply gleams at twilight. Join us for this in-person and entirely outdoors clas with Jason Holmes, curator of the Doris Duke Center Gardens and Page-Rollins White Garden at Duke Gardens and learn how to effectively use white as a design element. Participants will gather at the Doris Duke Center to meet Jason and then walk to the Page-Rollins White Garden. Discuss how Jason thinks about white as a color and as a texture, and uses both flowers and foliage to great effect. The walk will conclude in the Gardens so you may continue to explore on your own.
