Identifying improbable plates at a commercial COVID diagnostic testing laboratory

A story of how a probabilist in the right place, at the right time, was able to make a difference at a laboratory processing nearly 30,000 COVID tests a day. The probability in this talk should be accessible to an undergraduate mathematics audience.
