Screening of Zola followed by a Q&A with Jeremy O. Harris
Sponsor(s): Duke Arts
Cost: Free
Playwright, actor, and "man about town" (The New York Times) Jeremy O. Harris became Broadway's playwright-to-watch when his Slave Play took the theatre world by storm, earning a whopping 12 Tony nominations. In 2021, he ventured into the film world by cowriting Zola, based on a true story - originally shared via Twitter - about the shocking and unexpected adventures of Zola, a waitress from Detroit who travels with a customer for a party weekend in Miami. As part of our opening week, Duke Arts will present a free screening of Zola, followed by a Q&A discussion with Harris
