Works by Duke Music professor John Supko: from "The Bridge of Suns"; Hans Abrahamsen: "Two Inger Christensen Songs"; Richard Drehoff, Jr.: "Evacuate the bones, let the skin hang dry"; Michael Hersch: "one step to the next, worlds ending"; and works by Duke graduate student composers Mozhgan Chahian, Ethan Foote, Brooks Frederickson, Josué Collado Fregoso, and Chris Williams.

earspace is a contemporary performance ensemble dedicated to creating invigorating multi-sensory performances of music worth believing in. We seek to expose the inherent potentials within every moment and space, cultivating visceral reactions unique to every manifestation. Through our projects, we explore the extremities of contemporary performance and work to bring audiences closer to the music they experience. earspace has performed across the Triangle at CAM Raleigh and less typical venues like the Google Fiber Space, as well as other venues across North Carolina.

A "transfixing" (New Yorker) soprano of "fearlessness and consummate artistry" (Opera
News), Ah Young Hong has interpreted a vast array of repertoire, ranging from the music of Monteverdi, Bach, Mozart, and Poulenc, to works of Shostakovich, Babbitt, Kurtág, and Haas. The New York Times praised Ms. Hong as "the opera's blazing, lone star," The Chicago Tribune called her "absolutely riveting," and the Kronen Zeitung wrote "her stage presence, her soprano voice, her facial expressions...Breathtaking."
