Duke Physics Colloquium - Rethinking Cosmology

The current prevailing view is that the universe began in a big bang followed by a brief period of inflation. In this talk, we will point out how this view is largely based on certain common misconceptions which, if recognized, reveal flaws in the standard view and point us to new possibilities. This talk is intended for a broad audience.
