Triangle Nuclear Theory Colloquium - Nucleon Energy Correlators for the Color Glass Condensate
Sponsor(s): Physics
Abstract: In this talk, we will present a proposal to unveil the hadron tomography through the nucleon energy-energy correlators (NEEC) at the future electron-ion collider (EIC). In particular, we will show that the gluon saturation at small-x predicts a significant different shape for the angular distribution of the NEEC. The novelty of this probe is that it is fully inclusive just like the deep-inelastic scattering (DIS), with no requirements of jets or hadrons but still provides an evident portal to the small-x gluon saturation. We further discuss the azimuthal angle asymmetries to probe the linearly polarized gluon distributions inside the nucleon.
