3Blue1Brown Speaker Event

DUMU, along with DuQuis, the Physics and Math departments, Engineering Student Government, and Duke Student Government, is hosting 3Blue1Brown (Grant Sanderson) of YouTube math fame this upcoming week. Grant is a popular content creator who produces visualizations and animations to illustrate unique and/or interesting mathematical concepts. With 4.8 million subscribers as of November 2022, he is arguably the most popular mathematician on YouTube with video topics ranging from engineering, physics, abstract math, to quantum mechanics. At Duke, he will be talking about his 2019 video on colliding blocks computing pi (https://youtu.be/HEfHFsfGXjs), as well as applications with quantum search algorithms.
