The What and Why of ePortfolios:
More than just a technology, ePortfolios have been implemented across diverse educational contexts to document and share evidence of learning and performance. This introductory faculty workshop will share the motivation and opportunities for ePortfolio pedagogy and practice by referencing illustrative examples from students and disciplines to demonstrate how ePortfolios can facilitate and enhance assignments, courses, and programs. With Helen Chen (Integrative Learning Portfolio Lab Co-Founder, Research Scientist, Designing Education Lab, Department of Mechanical Engineering, Stanford University) and Kyle Gipson (Associate Professor, Coordinator, First-Year Engineering Excellence, James Madison University). Friday, February 17th noon to 1pm, both in-person (Wilkinson Auditorium with lunch provided) and remote attendance.
