Making a Home for Black Southern Film
Tyra Dixon, director of the Hayti Heritage Film Festival, will be in conversation with Duke University professor Joseph Winters (Religious Studies and African and African American Studies) about the power of Black film - and especially Black Southern film - to preserve wisdom, celebrate creativity, subvert expectations, and transform futures.
