All are welcome to attend this ecumenical service of Christian worship on Sunday mornings throughout the year. Duke Chapel is home to a long--and living--tradition of faithful preaching and inspiring sacred music. Join us as we sing, pray, give thanks, and learn together.
At this service we welcome gospel vocalist Yolanda Adams as our guest musician. A multi-platinum recording artist with thirteen albums, Adams' music blends modern gospel with R&B and jazz. Some of her many awards and recognitions include five Grammy Awards, Billboard magazine's Gospel Artist of the Decade, performing at the White House, and being inducted into the Gospel Music Hall of Fame.
In addition to her work as a gospel singer and songwriter, Adams is an actress, author, fashion designer, and entrepreneur. She is the host, creator, and owner of the nationally syndicated radio program the "Yolanda Adams Morning Show." Through her radio show and her nonprofit, Adams has supported numerous organizations working to improve education, health, and the well-being of young people. In 2016, President Barack Obama presented her with the Presidential Lifetime Achievement Award for her volunteer service.
Chapel ministers lead the service with a sermon from Chapel Dean Luke A. Powery or other minister. The Chapel Choir typically leads the music with accompaniment from the Chapel's organs.
Parking is available in the Bryan Center garage at 125 Science Drive. ADA parking is available in the Bryan Center Surface Lot at the same address. Receive a pass for free parking on Sunday mornings at the visitor desk inside the Chapel.
Services are livestreamed on YouTube at https://www.youtube.com/dukechapel and broadcast live on channel 12 of the Duke Hospital TV system and on the radio on 620 AM WDNC. Sign up for the Duke Chapel Sermons podcast on Spotify or Apple Podcasts.
