Professor Sharieka Botex will present excerpts from her piece focused on inspiring professors and readers to reflect on how to create and maintain positive and productive feedback practices that consider students' identities, voices, and literacy practices and prepares them for the writing in the fields they aspire to enter. Participants will hear a presentation focused on spotlighted scholarship that calls educators to embrace students' language, literacy practices and rhetorical decisions and participate in activities and reflection that calls them to consider their past and future experiences providing and receiving feedback.
