Managing Compassion Fatigue and Burnout

As Student Affairs professionals, we devote our time and energy into creating a safe, welcoming, and supportive campus environment for the students we serve. The nature of this work makes us vulnerable to both compassion fatigue and burnout. The current state of affairs in our world: living amidst a global pandemic, the social unrest in so many of our communities, and/or the current polarized political climate can all intensify these feelings. Through this interactive workshop, participants will increase their awareness of how they are managing in the current environment and what tools can be used to support mental and social health.
