Amaney Jamal is Associate Professor of Politics at Princeton University and directs the Workshop on Arab Political Development. Her current research focuses on democratization and the politics of civic engagement in the Arab World. She extends her research to the study of Muslim and Arab Americans. She is the author of 4 books and was named a Carnegie Scholar in 2005.This talk is part of our "Citizenship, Democracy and Elections" series.
