Sickle Cell Disease: Breaking Down the Myths and Barriers
This conference is designed to dispel myths and provide knowledge about the common medical and psychosocial complications associated with Sickle Cell Disease (SCD), while providing healthcare providers with an opportunity to discuss life and healthcare experiences with those actually living with SCD. The event is open to all Duke University Health System healthcare providers and students who are interested in learning more about working effectively with SCD and patients and families affected by it. PARKING: Participants who do not already have campus parking may park on the top level of the PGI Trent Drive parking garage. Participants will be responsible for parking costs. REGISTRATION through CME is required: http://cmetracker.net/DUKE/login?FormName=RegLoginLive&Eventid=46673. This program is co-sponsored by a grant from the Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality.
