The Presence of Dickens in Spain

Dr. Fernando Galván, Professor of Modern Philology and President of the University of Alcalá de Henares, Spain, will give a lecture titled "The Presence of Dickens in Spain." A reception at 5:30 p.m. will precede the event. Dr. Fernando Galván is the author of the book "Conocer a Dickens" (2010) and "Ensayos sobre la meta-ficción inglesa" (1994) among many other works on Doris Lessing, George Orwell and other topics of English Medieval and Modern literature. He is also the President of the prestigious ESSE (European Society for the Study of English).
