Stacy Tantum, Ph.D., Research Scientist and Associate Director of Graduate Studies

Stacy Tantum received the B.S. in Electrical Engineering and Economics summa cum laude from Tufts University in 1994, and the M.S. and Ph.D. degrees in Electrical Engineering from Duke University in 1996 and 1998, respectively. Since 1999, she has been with the Electrical & Computer Engineering Department at Duke University, most recently as a Research Scientist and Associate Director of Graduate Studies. Her research projects have involved collaboration with a variety of industrial partners, including SAIC, Inc., Sensor Products, Inc., and Belkin International, Inc. Her current research interests include applications of machine learning for efficient sparse model inversion, seizure prediction from EEG data, and marine mammal ocean acoustic signal processing.
