Dr. Bucholz graduated from the University of Pennsylvania in 2002, earning a BSE in bioengineering. She was awarded an NSF fellowship and went on to receive her Ph.D. in Biomedical Engineering from Duke University in 2008 for her work with 4 dimensional magnetic resonance imaging of the in-vivo mouse heart, under her advisor Dr. G. Allan Johnson. She has been teaching as an instructor at Duke University for the past 2 years. She has taught Signals and Systems and Modern Diagnostic Imaging Systems.
