Vivian Montgomery holds awards from three prestigious harpsichord competitions and was the recipient of a Solo Recitalist Fellowship from the National Endowment for the Arts. She has been on the faculty of the University of Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music, teaching early keyboards and Baroque Performance since 2003. She earned her Master's degree in Early Keyboard Performance from the University of Michigan and completed the DMA in Historical Performance at Case Western Reserve University in 2007. Vivian's performing life encompasses concerto solos, solo recitals, chamber music performances, and vocal accompanying work throughout the United States and abroad. She has recently been heard in numerous fortepiano performances of 19th century music. Performances have included work with the Phoenix Symphony, chamber musicians of the Cincinnati Symphony, the Pittsburgh Opera, Apollo's Fire, soprano Julianne Baird, Chatham Baroque, Aradia, Dinosaur Annex, Rialto, Catacoustic, and Music in the Vineyards. She performs with violinist Jennifer Roig-Francoli in Adastra, a period instrument duo.
