Baroque Violin for Modern Violinists: Master Class with Jennifer Roig-Francoli
Jennifer Roig-Francoli enjoys a varied international career as a baroque violinist, modern violinist, and Alexander Technique teacher. Roig-Francoli served as associate concertmaster, soloist, and acting concertmaster of Apollo's Fire for many years, and is currently the violinist for the baroque chamber ensemble, Fioritura (Philadelphia), and visiting assistant concertmaster with the Vivaldi Project (Washington, DC). For several years, Roig-Francoli was the assistant concertmaster of Apollo Ensemble (New York), a period instrument orchestra that specialized in performances and recordings of Haydn symphonies. Roig-Francoli was a founding member of the Chicago Baroque Ensemble, and has been invited to perform with many other period instrument ensembles, including the Smithsonian Chamber Orchestra, Chatham Baroque, The Publick Musick, and the Indianapolis Baroque Orchestra. She performs with harpsichordist Vivian Montgomery in Adastra, a period instrument duo.
