The Big Gun Show in Washington: Dueling Visions of Gun Control in the Wake of Sandy Hook

Please join the American Constitution Society and Professors Joseph Blocher, Phil Cook, and Chris Schroeder for a discussion about gun control in the wake of Sandy Hook. Professor Cook, from Duke's own Sanford School of Public Policy, will provide an overview and analysis of current legislative and regulatory proposals in Washington. Professor Schroeder will assess the political potential of these proposals, with a focus on the politics of gun control after Sandy Hook. Finally, Professor Blocher, who assisted the merits briefing in District of Columbia v. Heller, will discuss the current constitutional standards underlying this debate.
