Documentary Screening: Last Train Home
As part of the Immigration Awareness Week, this event tends to put issues of migration into a global perspective. The award-winning documentary (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1512201/), filmed in 2009, tells stories of a family of Chinese migrant workers moving back and forth between their hometown and the cities where they worked. It connects personal experiences with boarder issues related to China's socioeconomic transformation. English captions provided. A brief presentation on China's internal migration issues will follow the documentary screening.
