Garbology (Waste Audit)

Curious to know how much of our waste can actually be recycled and composted? Join us for a garbology on the West Union Quad from 1:30-4:30 on 3/22! We¿ll be using waste from the Sanford Building. All the paper, plastic, glass, and compostables will be sorted out and weighed. In the end, we¿ll know what percentage of the total waste, by mass, could have been diverted. Garbologies are meant to be an educational event. We¿ll be visually demonstrating how much of our waste stream can be easily diverted and at the same time, making sure onlookers know what can and can¿t be recycled.
