Join the Duke Institute for Brain Sciences for their third annual symposium, "Making Meaning: Origins of Communication" (April 18-20, 2013) where 15 leading researchers from 13 institutions across the U.S. and beyond, will come together to discuss language and communication from diverse perspectives. Keynote lecture by Robert Seyfarth, psychology, University of Pennsylvania, opens the event, followed by a day and a half of talks and panel discussions concerning language cognition, development, processing and origins, as well as animal communication, learning and neurobiology. Event held at Duke University and the Washington Duke Inn. Registration is free, but required.
