DukeJourneys with Mac Jordan '83

DukeJourneys is a dinner series to help undergraduates synthesize their education with global and civic involvement. Through conversations with Duke alumni and one another, students can begin to examine their choices, understand their experiences, and visualize their futures, not just as part of their college curricula, but as templates for their adult lives. As soon as Mac Jordan graduated from Duke University, he joined his father in rejuvenating his hometown, tiny Saxapahaw, North Carolina. Following a Jordan family tradition of pursuing the common good, and drawing on his experience in architectural renovation, community outreach, and innovative economic development, Jordan has made Saxapahaw a model of creative renewal and a destination for many from all over the eastern United States.
