Kevin P. Weinfurt, PhD, is a professor in psychiatry and behavioral sciences at the Duke University School of Medicine. He holds a secondary appointment as a professor of psychology and neuroscience. He also serves as chair of Duke's Interdisciplinary Medical Decision Making Initiative.Dr. Weinfurt has extensive experience in the analysis of quality-of-life outcomes in clinical trials and advanced multivariate statistical analysis of behavioral science data. His interests include the psychology of decision making and the communication of uncertainty; informed consent; conflicts of interest in research; methods for measuring and analyzing patient-reported outcomes; and research design and statistics.
