Caring for Patients with Challenging Personalities - CANCELED
Patients with challenging personalities (including those with personality disorders) come to clinics, hospital settings, and private practices every day. At times, providing optimal care for these individuals can be difficult, and can contribute to hostility, burnout, decreased productivity, or inadequate patient care. These are problems that can be reduced, and, in some cases, prevented.Findings from recent scientific research and best available evidence-based practices can help healthcare professionals and support staff better understand how to interact more effectively with these patients. The primary goal of this training is to help individuals who work in healthcare settings relate better to patients and their family members who have challenging personalities or personality disorders.AUDIENCE: Mental and non-mental health professionals, including nurses, PAs, social workers, counselors, support staff, psychologists, physicians, and other allied health personnel.https://www.dcri.org/education-training/meetings/patients-with-challenging-personalities
