"Access, Competition and For-Profit Higher Education"
This conference will discuss available academic research on the social and economic impact, the cultural consequences, and the pedagogical implications of the rapid expansion and growth of for-profit institutions in higher education in the United States. Sessions will address research issues in the study of competition, access;the role of for-profit degree-granting colleges and universities; and the roles of public finance and regulation in for-profit education.
