Join Sarah Meadows, PhD a Duke alumnus and Senior Scientist at the RAND Corporation for breakfast with Career Center staff to learn more about her role at RAND and what it's like to work at a think tank. Bio: Sarah Meadows is a Full Social Scientist at the RAND Corporation and serves as the Associate Program Director of the ARROYO Center's Army Health Program. Her research focuses on family well-being, including both civilian and military families; stress, coping, and social support; and manpower and personnel issues related to diversity. She has also worked extensively with social indicators, focusing on child and adolescent well-being in the United States. Dr. Meadows is currently leading a longitudinal study of military families over the course of the deployment cycle, as well as a study of military family resilience. Recent projects include an examination of resilience among airmen and their families, production and diversity in Army ROTC, and the association between characteristics of military base neighborhoods and soldier and airmen well-being. Prior to joining RAND, Dr. Meadows was a Postdoctoral Research Associate at the Bendehim-Thoman Center for Research on Child Wellbeing at Princeton University. She received a Ph.D. in sociology from Duke University.
