Responding to Student Dissonance
Sponsor(s): Service-Learning Program
Last semester the Service-Learning Program hosted a conversation about how the cognitive dissonance borne of community-based teaching and learning experiences develops students¿ thinking, and whether engaged learning can facilitate Parker Palmer's challenge of "thinking ourselves and the world together." This session will provide practical tools and resources for (provoking and) responding to student dissonance¿hopefully just in time for the angst of a new semester! Lunch will be served.
