DukeJourneys with Rachel Cook '06

DukeJourneys is a dinner series to help undergraduates synthesize their education with global and civic involvement. Through conversations with Duke alumni and one another, students can begin to examine their choices, understand their experiences and visualize their futures, not just as part of their college curricula, but as templates for their adult lives. Rachel Cook is the founder of Seeds, a startup that equips digital games for mobile microlending, so that players can make microloans directly to the cell phones of borrowers in Kenya--and eventually everywhere--through their favorite gaming titles. Seeds will be embedded in some of the most popular games in the App Store beginning this fall.
