The CIA is at the center of recent controversies regarding covert action, drone strikes, and other issues. Join us as one of America's leading experts on the CIA and the history of U.S. intelligence discusses the past, present, and future of that organization. Richard Immerman is the Edward J. Buthusiem Distinguished Faculty Fellow in History and Marvin Wachman Director of Temple's Center for the Study of Force and Diplomacy. He is a historian of U.S. foreign relations who concentrates on the Cold War. Immerman also formerly served as an Assistant Deputy Director of National Intelligence and is currently chair of the Historical Advisory Committee to the Department of State. The event will be held in Sanford 223 on Monday, February 24th and is free and open to the public.
