Panama Canal Lunch Talk with Julie Greene
Please join us next week for another one of our lunch talks! Monday, March 3rd at 12:00pm in the LSRC A148, we will be hosting Julie Greene. She is a professor of history at the University of Maryland and is the author of The Canal Builders: Making America¿s Empire at the Panama Canal. In this discussion, she will explore the role the tropics played in shaping the project as well as some of the challenges faced due to the project¿s necessary interaction with the environment.
