Ciompi Quartet Presents 2014: "ELATION II"

This summer Ciompi Quartet Presents adds a performance and presents a four-part chamber music series in Duke Gardens. The first two concerts, presented by Jonathan Bagg, are a double-bill celebrating the release of the "Elation" CD. The second concert, "Elation II" includes works by Duke faculty composers Scott Lindroth and Stephen Jaffe, and a second work by Garner. Soprano Ilana Davidson, guitarist Oren Fader, harpist Stacey Shames, and flutist Laura Gilbert will again join Ciompi violist Jonathan Bagg to complete this special two-concert offering. PROGRAM: Garner's "Abandoned and Forgotten Places"; Jaffe's "Offering." Lindroth's "YTTE," and Debussy's "Sonata for flute, viola, and harp." Subscriptions are $65 and go on sale May 19.
