Combined Heat and Power (CHP) Plant Stakeholder Meeting
This year, Duke's Campus Sustainability Committee (CSC) is reviewing a variety of aspects regarding the potential for a combined heat and power (CHP) plant being built on Duke University's campus. The CSC created a CHP subcommittee that consists of university faculty, staff, and students. This subcommittee meets every week to discuss various aspects of the plant including economic and environmental impacts, on-campus energy security and reliability, and alternatives that may be able to meet Duke's needs. Currently the subcommittee is requesting community input for its recommendations process. The subcommittee invites you to join and provide feedback at an upcoming community stakeholder meeting, which will take place on Duke's West Campus in the Gross Hall atrium on March 27th from 6:30-8:00 PM. For background on the CHP plant, please visit https://sites.duke.edu/dukechpforum/. If you are unable to attend the meeting or prefer to provide online comments, please do so at bit.ly/chpcomments.
Free parking will be available in the Chemistry Lot behind Gross Hall. The parking lot is located at the corner of Circuit Drive and Towerview Road, with lot entrance on Circuit Drive. A parking attendant will be stationed by the lot entrance to assist you.
