From Monumental Mega-­cities to Individual Farmsteads: The Demise of the Neolithic Çatalhöyük (Anatolia)

This lecture presents the archaeological and archaeobiological evidence for the disintegration of Neolithic Çatalhöyük and addresses the emergence of a new social system and the development of fully-fledged farming communities in the area and beyond.
