History Beyond Text

A discussion with curators and historians about the ways History can be represented through exhibits, mapping, and other non-textual or para-textual forms. With participants Richard Rabinowitz and Lynda Kaplan of the American History Workshop; Julia Gaffield, Assistant Professor at Georgia State University & Post-Doctoral Fellow at Brandeis University; Phil Stern, Professor of History and Co-Director of the Border/Works Laboratory at Duke University; and Vincent Brown, Charles Warren Professor of American History and Professor of African and African American Studies and Director of the History Design Studio at Harvard University.
