AAC Peer Advising Faculty Dinner with Dr. Dorian Canelas and Dr. Sarah Schott
Math professor Dr. Sarah Schott and chemistry professor Dr. Dorian Canelas will be the guests for an AAC Peer Advising faculty dinner. Professors Schott and Canelas have taught many first-year students in large introductory courses, and the dinner will provide an opportunity to engage with professors beyond the large classroom setting, where one-on-one interactions can be rare. The goal of AAC Peer Advising faculty dinners is to provide a comfortable and informal setting where first-years can get to know these professors on a more personal level and build mentor relationships early on in their college careers. Among other topics, the professors will discuss the value of getting to know faculty in large lecture classes and how students can do this.
