My Time in Libya: Trying to Help a Fragile StateWhat is it like to help a country pick up the pieces after a revolution? Ralph Chami knows firsthand. He spent four years, from 2010 ¿ 2014, as the IMF¿s mission chief to Libya. As mission chief, Dr. Chami was the IMF¿s main point of contact with Libya¿s top political and economic officials and developed the IMF assistance program for this country after the fall of Qaddafi. In 2014, Dr. Chami and his team received the IMF Award for Operational Excellence in recognition of this work. Dr. Chami will talk about his experiences in Libya in the Spring 2015 Johnson Lecture.
