Arabic Halaqa
Dear colleagues and friends of the Arabic Halaqa Welcome to another semester of engagement and productivity. We plan to have 3 to 4 meetings this semester. Please, feel free to suggest names of presenters and also we welcome members to host a meeting as well. The main goal of this gathering is to bring together those who are interested in Arabic language and culture, and enable them to ponder around a text, and discuss its meaning and context. Our first Arabic Halaqa is scheduled on September 17. Ustaadha Miriam Cooke will lead a discussion of Hanadi Zahlout¿s (¿¿¿¿¿ ¿¿¿¿¿) work in Silsilatu Shahadat Souriyyah. She recommended the reading of chapter 2 (¿¿¿ ¿¿¿¿¿). The material is attached. We encourage all participants to read the material in advance. The detailed schedule of the meeting is outlined below.
